Metal detecting Uphill Beach

Second time out
Metal detecting Uphill Beach

So this was my second time out metal detecting at Uphill Beach, Weston-super-Mare.
First time out I ventured out to the water mark left by the tide, however this time I choose to stay high up on the beach as we had just had a very high tide and a lot of rain.

This time I decided I would also try to video my adventure using my DJI Osmo Action 4 camera, DJI Osmo GPS Remote and the DJI Mic 2 transmitter with a wind muffler to capture the sound.
As you can see on the YouTube video, the filming was a bit sketchy as I had mounted the camera on my Minelab harnesses left strap using the DJI hikers backpack adapter.
One of the downsides of the backpack adapter is that it only allows for movement of the camera up and down, which meant a lot of the video is offset quite a bit.
For my next adventure I have purchased a 360° adapter to allow me to pivot the camera slightly.

All in all it was a lovely day for detecting, however I did not find anywhere near as much as I had on my previous outing.
I did manage to find the usual items of discarded trash along with a coin (20 pence piece), spring and an R clip.

If you watch the video you will see that I had a few problems with my pin pointer which I hope to have now solved by adding a small piece of foam into the battery compartment of the Minelab Pro-Find 35.
Im still getting used to the the Minelab Equinox 700 metal detector and all its settings, but the swinging of it has got a lot easier using the swing harness.

I'm looking forward to getting out again soon, but the British weather is not co-operating at the moment with cold winds and heavy rain around Somerset.
